West of the rift valley sits on the Mau escarpment and its surrounding highlands. Tea is grown in the rich volcanic soils, altitude of 1,800-2,200meters above sea level, rainfall of 1,500mm distributed through out the year, and cool temperatures. It is cultivated by a mix of large estates and small scale farmers.
This tea is known for bright coppery infusion, strong brisk flavour & deep colour, full bodied cup (ideal for blending & breakfast teas) and malty and earthy undertones.
